Remember that these rules are not meant to realise a dictator like play environment, but to have a good, nice and fun play environment. Do realise that breaking any of these rules will lead to the punishment. The Punishment is done by the discretion of the GMs (Game Masters) or Polices. These rules apply to Battle-RO only.


The rules have been divided into the following sections:

1. General Behaviour
A. Do not beg for items, zeny or anything else.
Description: You start dealing/asking for items/zeny/stuff to somebody.
Punishment: 20 minutes mute, 2 hours jail

B. Advertising for other servers is strictly forbidden (including IPs or websites).
Description: Using the Broadcast, or making a chatroom, or spamming chats to advertise another server.
Sanction: 45 days account Ban

C. Do not abuse the BC (Broadcasting).
Description: Using the Broadcaster NPC's function to broadcast stuff that has nothing to do with trading, recruiting or looking for someone. However congratulating someone, on his/her birthday is allowed.
Sanction: 3-12 hours jail, 5-14 days ban

D. Kill Stealing (KSing) won't be tolerated.
Description:
Low Rates: Kill Stealing is not allowed.
Force: If PK is on, then you are allowed to Kill Steal on the condition that the person you are going to Killsteal from has his/her PK on aswell. If the map you are on is a Non-PVP map, then killstealing is foridden.
Sanction: 3-6 hours jail

E. Avoid creating unreasonable names: avoid using symbols or inappropriate names.
Description: Offensive name. .
Sanction: Perma Jail, Character Deletion.

F. As a result from rule number 1.E, no name changes will be granted.

G. No gender changes will be granted.

H. No LOST/SCAMMED/HACKED items will be given back!
Description: Such cases often happen due to players being carefree and giving out their passwords or not paying attention to trades/vends. We will never interfere in such cases since it can lead to exploits. Nevertheless, it is possible to report a scammer or hacker with proofs (screenshots in most cases) and if justified he/she will get an IP and account ban (time depending on the case but most certainly permanent for hackers).

I. We cannot replace everyone's lost items because of a server crash/rollback or restart.
Description: In case of an update, an announce is usually made beforehand giving you enough time to logout first. Many people tried to abuse the system by asking back items they didn't have. We therefore won't be giving back anything you claim. We apologize if you made an honest request.

J. Do not obstruct any NPCs. Doing so denies other players' use of the NPC.
Description: Putting your chatroom/shop in a 2-tiles range of an NPC.
Sanction: 1-5 hours Jail

K. No offensive representations are allowed! There are youths playing on the server! Offensive representations include, but are not limited to: Guild Emblems, Names, Party Names, Guild Names, Chatroom Names, Vend Names.
Description: Offensive, Guild Emblems, Party Names. Guild Names.
Sanction:
Offensive Chatroom Name: Minor: 1-6 hours jail Major: 5-14days ban
Offensive Guild Name: Jail until the character has left the guild, or the guild has been disbanded.
Offensive Guild Title: Jail until the character has left the guild, or the guild has been disbanded.
Offensive Party Name: Minor: 1-6 hours jail Major: 5-14days ban
Offensive Store Name: Minor: 1-6 hours jail Major: 5-14days ban

L. Abusing hotkeys to warp away from a battle is not allowed. If you're in a battle, fight until death. Don't try and just go and hit someone and then press the hotkey to warp away when you do some damage or running away from a battle when you know you can't kill someone.
Description: Warping away after hitting or using a skill.
Sanction: 4-6 hours jail

2. Relationhips with others
A. Always be respectful to GMs. Insults or verbal harassement towards a GM won't be tolerated. Do not disrespect a GM by accusing him/her of cheating with his/her legit or abusing his/her powers. If you have a good reason to report a GM, just do it here without spreading useless rumours. That won't be tolerated.
Sanction: Varying from temporary jail to temporary or permanent ban at GM's discretion.

B. Do not ask to be a GM or Sub-GM.
Sanction: First a verbal warning then temporary jail or worse according to the case.

C. Do not bother the GMs unless you are absolutely sure you cannot solve your problem on your own. Make sure you check the forums before contacting a GM to see if someone else had the same problem solved already.
Sanction: If you keep asking useless/non-sense/annoying/already-answered questions, you are risking jail time.

D. Impersonating a GM is strictly forbidden. This includes names starting with GM (or anything similar).
Sanction: 45 days account ban

E. Impersonating any staffmembers/staff guilds is strictly forbidden.
Sanction: 45 days account ban

F. Do not impersonate a player.
Sanction: Permanent Jail and Character Deletion

G. DO NOT give your password to anyone not even GMs! We will never ask you for your password!

H. Do not harass a player or repeatedly pick on leveling players. Just remember that there are people of all ages playing here. So you need to remain respectful or you might be sanctioned.
Descriptions: The act of harassing someone is basically, annoying someone just on the basis of the nationality, race, skin color or religion.
Sanction: 1-6 hours jail, 7-14days ban, 45 days ban

I. Do not verbally abuse a player. Show respect to everyone. Remember that are people of all ages playing here. So you need to remain respectful or you might be sanctioned.
Description: Insulting, swearing, calling names. Basically being a jerk to someone.
Sanction: 20 minutes mute, 1-6 hours jail, 5-14 days ban

J. All trades and vends are done at your own risks. It is the player's responsibility to avoid falling in traps set up by players. As mentioned in rule H of section 1, it is possible to report a scammer and corresponding sanctions will be taken judging on severity.

K. Selling items to people for real money is strictly forbidden! As such broadcasting it in game is also forbiddden.
Sanction: 45 days ban

L. Trading items from a different RO for the items from BattleRO is strictly forbidden. You are not allowed to trade items from Force for Low Rates items.
Sanction: 45 days ban

M. Objecting to weddings is forbidden.
Sanction: 10-30 minutes mute, 1-3 hours jail, 1-5 days ban

N. Spamming someones chat is highly irritating and annoying. Thus it is forbidden.
Description: Repeating the same phrase over and over, or saying many annoying sentences with your Hotkeys.
Sanction: 10 minute mute, 1-3 hours jail

O. Spamming skills in town is forbidden. This, because it is highly annoying and there are better ways to attract someones attention.
Description:Spamming big-effect skills like Lord of Vermillion while being PK Off.
Sanction: 3 hours jail and an explanation why the person has been jailed

3. War of Emperium
A. Do not create a guild with a similar name as another existing guild or use an emblem that is already used by another guild.
Sanction: Persuading to disband the guild. Failure to listen will result into a 5 days ban and disbanding by a GM.

B. Do not use other peoples personal emblems without their permission. Recently there have been lots of emblem stealing.
Sanction: Be asked to take off that picture but if you don't listen then 1 day ban plus guild disbanded.

C. Do not use emblems which have offensive images. Images like pornographic, racisim, etc are not allowed in DarkRO's community.
Sanction: Be asked to take off the image immediately. If you ignore a police or GM then you shall get a guild disband and looking how serious the image is, you shall be banned for 1 day as the minimum punishment.

D. Do not use the Friend menu option on players in WoE.
Sanction: 4-6 hours Jail

E. Do not trade players in WoE. This distracts them and make them vulnerable to attacks. (This can be avoided by typing /notrade).
Sanction: 4-6 hours Jail

F. Walking through a warp portal during woe to stay in a castle that was just taken over is considered an abuse.
Sanction: 3 days ban. Might be more severe if done many times.

G. Abusing bugs to attack the emperium is forbidden. By bug, we mean offensive skills that should not hit the Emperium.
Sanction: 3 days ban. Might be more severe if done many times.

H. Walking through a portal during fights to avoid getting hit is forbidden.
Description: Walking through a portal during pvp/woe, to avoid getting hit. Or to heal.
Sanction: 4-6 hours jail

4. Player vs Player
A. Standing on top of an NPC to avoid getting hit is forbidden.
Sanction: 5 days account ban

B. Walking through a portal during fights to avoid getting hit is forbidden.
Description: Walking through a portal during pvp/woe, to avoid getting hit. Or to heal.
Sanction: 4-6 hours jail

C. Killing someone over and over again, while ressing this person in a way that he/she is unable to warp away, is considered harassment.
Sanction: 4-6 hours jail

5. Server regulations
A. Botting is strictly forbidden as well as the use of any kind of third party program.
Sanction: 45 days ban and tracing of the main account (which means that the main account gets banned aswell).

B. Bugs exploits are also forbidden. If a bug is found, it is to be reported as soon as possible to a GM or on the bug tracker (if it doesn't lead to abusive exploit). Any sort of bug should be reported immediately, wether or not it leads to potential exploits or abuses. Failing to do so, might lead to a sanction depending on the severity of the bug.
Sanction: 45 days account ban and tracing of the main account (which means that the main account gets banned aswell). Depending on the severity of the exploit the punishment can go up till a permanent IP ban.

C. Hacking the server in any ways will be severely punished.
Sanction: Permanent IP, Account and MAC ban.

D. Duping items/zeny is strictly forbidden.
Sanction: 45 days ban and tracing of the main account (which means that the main account gets banned aswell). Depending on the severity of the dupe the punishment can go up till a permanent IP ban.

5. Additional Rules
A. Vending on fields near quest sites and PvP places is not allowed.
Sanction: 2 days jail

E. Looting someone elses items is not allowed.
Description: Picking up items that are not belong to you.
Sanction: 2 hours jail
